I wonder if people would spark up their interest to help raise money for Haiti relief if there were celebrities tied to the idea. The media is all powerful and so are giant earthquakes. I think the earths crust called today and said watch your back.

This movie looks amazing. More than just a boat trip. And just to top things off the musics good there’s surfing and more adventure than a trip to Disneyland. I can’t wait to peep this one.

So I can’t tell if this is real or not. I’m sure it is because the skaters seem to be getting hit with dab-re and eating some face. How ever it is done, it looks beautiful and it makes me want to ride my skateboard and blow up the word around me.

This December, Subtext invites you to come experience a post nuclear world of skewed reality by San Diego’s own Matt Stallings. In After the Bomb Popped, Stallings has conceived an altered world where candy and popsicles have come to life. Icons of pop culture are turned upside down and inside out. Michael Jackson has become a monkey, Mickey Mouse is now a pig, polar bears are hunted for their Icee juice, — there’s even a chocolate Jesus. For his first solo exhibition at Subtext, Matt (interviewed here)has created an all but normal body of pop surrealism at it’s finest.

I found an old VCR repair book in my back alley today. I have not done allot of painting on paper so I gave it a shot. This painting is a mix of graphite, gouache, and acrylic and is titled : Re-Illustration by assembly. It focuses on the idea of what happens when we overbuild and use up all of our natural resources. What then? Maybe we can figure out how to re-make natures gifts like fruit.

This documentary project spearheaded by Designer/Artist/Publisher Mark Murphy began in the summer of 2003. Along with interactive agency Ninthlink.com and Film/motion graphics team Ten-Stories.com. Luckily I had the privilege to hang out and film 6 amazing artist. Ranging from from all different walks of life and style the list includes Rob and Christian Clayton, Martha Rich, Jeff Soto, Joe Sorren, Tim Biskup, Camille Rose Garcia and Kevin Christy. This films captures all of these artists at different times in their professional careers. Although most of the filming happened over 3 years ago or more the interviews seem to stand the test of time, for now. I think everyone at the Planet Illogica Release party had a amazing time. I had the priveledge to meet alot of new great artists and had time time to hang out with old friends and new ones.
